Saving Philanthropy Saving Philanthropy: Resources to Results is a one hour documentary film exploring the impact of performance management strategies on modern philanthropic practices. Specifically, the film asks the question, "Should direct service organizations and foundations be funded based on their performance?" and investigates the benefits and drawbacks of utilizing a performance management strategy to do so.
Through interviews with foundation representatives, service providers and industry experts, as well as analysis and explanation of industry case studies, Saving Philanthropy seeks to convey the relationship between strategic philanthropists, high performing organizations and the performance management strategies they employ.
By presenting an objective and comprehensive inquiry into performance management strategies, we believe those who see Saving Philanthropy will be motivated to learn more about how we can increase the effectiveness of philanthropy today.
Saving Philanthropy is co-produced by Kate Robinson. Kate has over 10 years of experience in the non-profit sector as well as extensive knowledge of performance management theory and strategy.
